Following new national guidance from the NHS, our updated face mask policy is as follows:
For outpatients, UEC and primary care:
• Patients with respiratory symptoms who are required to attend for emergency treatment should wear a facemask/covering, if tolerated, or offered one on arrival.
• All other patients are not required to wear a facemask unless this is a personal preference.
Therefore, our reception team and clinical staff will no longer ask patients to wear a face mask unless attending with respiratory symptoms. We still have masks available on the reception desk should you wish to wear one.
Thank you for your co-operation and helping keep everyone safe.
